Inspired by a cowgirls love for fashion!
Where do I even begin! I was raised in a rodeo family with a ranching background, and my roots run deep in the western lifestyle. My dad is a Canadian Champion team roper, my boyfriend is a Canadian Finals Rodeo bull riding qualifier, and I have spent my entire life on the back of a horse…my main event in rodeo is barrel racing. I have always had a love for fashion and it has always been a big part of my identity.
After graduating high school, I headed to Texas to further my education on a rodeo scholarship. I started off at Hill College, and then A&M Commerce. I loved Texas, and I fell in love with the small town of Hillsboro. It was the closest thing I had felt to home, away from home. I’m from small town Alberta, Canada but have dual citizenship making me both a Canadian and American citizen.
I had always dreamed of opening a boutique, and knew it had to be in small town Texas. So, I sold my good barrel horses, and put my rodeo career on hold in order to pursue my dream of opening a boutique. And where better than Hillsboro, Texas!
I believe that the handiest cowgirls can also be the prettiest, most high maintenance girls! I wanted to create a place where not just cowgirls, but all women, can shop the latest fashion trends…with a slight western flair of course! And so, Cowgirl Vogue was born.
